Dispensary Design Built Around the Customer Journey

Budder brings fresh eyes to the customer experience. For Nova Farms, we redesigned the North Attleboro, MA dispensary around how customers actually move, shop and buy, then built it on a fixture system made for in-store marketing.

Step 1: Floor-to-Shelf Audit & Strategy

Every Budder retail project starts the same way. We step into the store, often with a floor plan and renderings already in hand, and look at it the way a customer will. Where do they enter? What do they see first? Where do they slow down, and where do they buy?

Nova Farms had a solid floor plan and an initial rendering. We kept the plan and made it work harder, placing every zone in the order customers experience it, with clear sightlines from the door to the product walls:

  • Reception sets the tone with brand-forward graphics from the first step inside.

  • Launch Pad and Flex Space put new products and demo days right at the entry.

  • Self-serve kiosks sit front and center, backed with impulse items and new and notable product.

  • Category walls organize the assortment the way people shop: staff picks, edibles, vapes, concentrates, pre-rolls and flower.

  • Accessories and apparel sit front of house, so customers pass them coming in and going out.

  • Queuing signage turns wait time into browsing time.

  • The Bud Bar offers deli-style, one-on-one service with a budtender.

  • POS and exit zones carry impulse buys, events and promotions to the last step out the door.

Step 2: Fixtures Built for In-Store Marketing

Strategy only works if the store can keep up with it. Nova's fixtures are built on the Budder Groove System. Shelves, headers and product holders slot into place, and graphics update magnetically. When a new SKU drops, a promotion changes or a partner brand rotates in, staff reset the wall in minutes, without tools or a contractor.

For the initial rollout, we put Nova's house brands front and center. Southie, Hashables, Rezzy, Skyway, Midz and more [verify] each get a lit shadowbox moment on the main wall.
The rollout is only the start. Every feature area is built to change, giving Nova's team marketing tools on the floor:

  • Promo features for new launches, deals and seasonal campaigns

  • Brand partner slotting to feature outside brands and support co-marketing deals

  • Staff Picks, Premium and Top Sellers shelves that guide the decision and lift higher-margin product to eye level

Floor-to-Shelf Audit

An annotated floor plan (flow, sightlines, dead zones), merchandising strategy, fixture plan, planogram renders and a production shopping list. $2,500 is credited toward any production order of $10K+. Keep the strategy and run with it, or let us build it.

Step 3: Full Retail Design

Some clients take the strategy and fixtures and run. Others want the full store dialed in. Budder designs and prints the environmental graphics, signage and collateral to match the strategy, so the brand reads the same from the parking lot to the register.

For Nova, custom collateral does the work of a good budtender, even when the line is long. Category education cards explain onset, duration and dosing in plain language. Counter displays introduce new products. Nova Loyal sign-up cards with QR codes turn first-time visitors into repeat customers.
